The Social Investment Group (SIG)

The Social Investment Group (SIG) is a network committed to promoting and
advancing social investment practice among foundations and corporate donors in
Europe and in their global work; encouraging learning from and collaboration with
other sectors; and contributing to development of new social investment vehicles
and benchmarking tools. Recognising the complexity of the field and expertise
available beyond the foundation community, SIG involves also venture
philanthropists, financial intermediaries, and social entrepreneurs. The SIG was
launched within the framework of the Europe in the World (EitW) initiative to
underpin the objectives of increasing current streams of funding for development
and catalysing new joint ventures in the area.
